The difference between PVC Shrink Wrap and POF Shrink Wrap

Second, The full name of POF is multi-layer co-extruded polyolefin Shrink Wrap, which is made of linear low-density polyethylene as an intermediate layer (LLDPE), copolypropylene (pp) as the inner and outer layers, plasticized and extruded by five extruders, and then processed by special processes such as die molding and film bubble blowing.

PVC Shrink Wrap and POF Shrink Wrap are two common packaging materials, they have some differences in appearance and performance. The following is the difference between PVC Shrink Wrap and POF Shrink Wrap:

1.Different materials: PVC Shrink Wrap is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, while POF Shrink Wrap is made of polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) and polyethylene (PE) and other raw materials.

2.The appearance is different: PVC Shrink Wrap generally shows a slight yellow or white, the surface has dots or stripes, while POF Shrink Wrap is transparent, smooth surface, no lines.

3.Different thermal shrinkage performance: PVC Shrink Wrap has good thermal shrinkage performance, and can be wrapped in different shapes of goods by heating shrinkage, which is suitable for various shapes of packaging. Although POF Shrink Wrap has strong heat shrink performance, but limited by the limitation of raw materials, generally can only produce relatively thin film, and the shrinkage rate is relatively small.

4.Different environmental performance: PVC Shrink Wrap will release toxic gases during incineration, which is not easy to degrade, causing pollution to the environment. The POF Shrink Wrap can be recycled, friendly to the environment, and has high environmental performance.

5.The price is different: PVC Shrink Wrap raw materials are cheap, production costs are low, and the price is relatively low. The raw material cost of POF Shrink Wrap is high, the production process is complex, and the price is relatively high.
